Living in such a visual and real-time social media environment, we are bombarded daily with the latest in Breaking News and Daily Controversy. Isn’t it exhausting?! Now that cruises are considered to be “The World’s Greatest Vacation” by many and cruising is so widely available to the masses, we see and hear the good, the bad, and the ugly truths about what goes on when ships set sail.

Some cruise lines have praises heaped upon them while others are relegated to being largely ridiculed.
When we think of Carnival cruises, many automatically default to all the negative stereotypes:
Trailer park and ghetto guests on the passenger manifest Loud rap music, dirty dancing sail away parties Obnoxious behavior of guests determined to get the last drop from the beverage package Illicit substances brought onboard Fights between individuals and among groups of passengers
There is this reputation of the proportion of unruly behavior increasing as the length of the cruise decreases. Carnival has successfully made cruising available to the masses at very affordable fares, so you’ll meet all kinds of people onboard.
Now, while there is quantifiable evidence of the public perception of the Carnival cruise experience, there are many who have sailed without incident and continue to enjoy The Fun Ships.

Is there any way to Choose FUN without the chaos and drama? CERTAINLY‼️💯
A Carnival Journeys voyage might be just the cruise for "youz"…🫵
One must be cognizant of the fact that not all Carnival Cruises fit a specific mold. The controversial cruise news we encounter on the news and on the internet (primarily YouTube) largely pertains to:
The cruises that cater to the US cruise market
Cruises typically shorter than seven nights – although no cruise is guaranteed to be drama free
Many cruises going to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and the Mexican Riviera
This is not to say that those cruises should be entirely avoided; this is just what is oftentimes reported.
Carnival serves a world of destinations:
Alaska Asia Australia and New Zealand Hawaii Mediterranean Northern Europe South Pacific
The line also features Trans-Atlantic and Trans-Pacific voyages – these are definitely part of the Journeys collection.
All sailings of 9 nights or longer are classified as Journeys – denoting that they are an elevated experience. There are some features that are simply not included on the shorter sailings. More on this difference later.
Stay tuned for Part Two: The Merits and Drawbacks Of Carnival’s Journeys…
